The first shipload of new cargo in the Batumi sea port
On July 16, 2021, the Batumi Sea Port Ltd accepted for the first time the vessel of "Arborella” with DWT 57 540 intended for loading cargo of the new multimodal terminal of mineral fertilizers of the company "Wondernet Express".
The first vessel’s shipment of 44,000 tons of Central Asian urea will be sent from the port of Batumi to South America. This logistics route has been worked out in recent years and required considerable efforts to attract new cargo to our transport corridor.
It can be said with confidence that this project is unprecedented in our Caucasus region, taking into account the complexity of establishing logistics along the entire route, starting from Central Asia to Europe and South America. The capacity of the "Wondernet Express" terminal, built on the territory of the Port of Batumi , is up to 1.5 million tons of mineral fertilizers per year.
