Batumi container terminal (BICT) gained the third place in Black Sea container operator's rating, based on cargo turnover growth rate in 2010, that was prepared by the publishing house "Ports of Ukraine" and information-analytical center "BlackSeaTrans". Terminal will be granted with the "Award of Recognition" during the Black Sea Container summit.

Also, Batumi International Container Terminal is waiting to receive the biggest in the history of Georgian ports container vessel "MSC UKRAINE". The vessel with overall length of 202m and width of 31m is expected to arrive on the 27th of August. The terminal will discharge and load total of 2400 TEU in less, than 40 hours. "MSC Ukraine" was built in 1989 in Poland and serves presently in the fleet of largest shipping line in Georgia and one of the largest carriers in the world - Mediterranean Shipping Company based in Geneva/Switzerland.
