Batumi Sea Port Ltd has successfully undergone re-certification audit of the Environmental Management System according to the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 standard and supervisory audit of the Quality Management System according to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard within its Integrated Management System.
The audit was conducted by the lead auditors of the international certification body Bureau Veritas Certification in April 2012. As a result of the audit it was concluded that an Integrated Quality and Environmental Management System had been developed, documented and maintained at Batumi Sea Port Ltd according the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 international standards, demonstrating the ability to get the planned results and continual improvement.
Based on the abovementioned the recommendation was made to prolong the term of the quality certificate according to the ISO 9001:2008 standard and a new environmental certificate was issued according ISO 14001:2004 standard.
Once again successful re-certification and supervisory audits proves the quality of the services provided by the Port to its clients and shows that quality and environment has always been and still remains a priority for our company.
