Exhibition Transit Kazakhstan 2012

From 19 to 21 September, 2012 a regular international exhibition on transport and logistics called "Transit Kazakhstan 2012” was held in exhibition center "Atakent” located in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

This exhibition is the largest event in the transportation industry of Central Asian region and annually attracts more than 100 exhibitors from 11-14 various countries around the world.

Batumi Sea port, for the second time (first in 2011) took an active part in this exhibition, and BSP representatives also attended the round table dealing with the issue of " Kazakhstan- a new silk way” which was held in the framework of the exhibition in the house of celebrations "Bahchisaray”.

During the exhibition, relations with the marketing departments of port of Liepaja, Riga, Ventspils and Aktau have been strengthened. In the nearest future, cooperation in the means of experience exchange is planned with the ports mentioned above.

In the framework of official opening, the exhibition was attended by the secretary of ministry of transportation and communications of republic of Kazakhstan - Mr. J. Kasimbek and vice-president of JSC "Kazakhstan Temir Joliy”,-Mr. E. Iskaliev who visited the Batumi Sea Port stand and received information from BSP representatives about the activities and developments of the company since its acquisition by "KazTransOil”, as well as the plans on further infrastructure and technical development of the port.

According to the BSP marketing department, the exhibition was considered to be productive. Many useful links have been set up, representatives of different forwarding companies were provided with the information on BSP potential and a lot of other data about the port.
