2022 production figures

The total volume of cargo transshipment in 2022 by Batumi Oil Terminal LLC (100% ownership of KazTransOil JSC) and Batumi Seaport LLC (exclusive rights to manage 100% of the shares) amounted to 7.6 million tons, which is 1.3 million tons higher than the same indicator for 2021.

In particular, the volume of oil transshipment, petroleum products and gas increased by 0.4 million tons compared to 2021 and amounted to 1.9 million tons. The increase in transshipment volumes is associated with an increase in the volume of transshipment of dark oil products of Kazakhstani origin, as well as the continued cooperation with Tengizchevroil LLP on the transshipment of oil and liquefied petroleum gas.

The volume of dry cargo transshipment amounted to 1.7 million tons, which is 0.5 million tons more than in 2021, due to an increase in the transshipment of urea and raw sugar.

The container terminal handled 119 thousand TEU in 2022, which is 20 thousand TEU. The TEU is higher than in 2021, which was due to the redirection of the COSCO container line from the port of Poti to the port of Batumi and an increase in the car market from the USA.

KazTransOil JSC directly owns and manages production assets in Georgia through Batumi Oil Terminal LLC (BNT). BNT provides services for transshipment, pumping, storage of oil, petroleum products and gas, as well as processed products using its own berths, technological pipelines and tanks. The competitive advantage of BNT is flexibility in storage and transshipment of various grades of oil and petroleum products (including liquefied petroleum gas).
