Government Delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan Visited Batumi Sea Port

A high-ranking delegation from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan paid a working visit to the Batumi Sea Port. Among the guests were the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, and the Minister of Transport, Ilkhom Makhkamov.

The Uzbek delegation was officially accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Tamar Ioseliani.

As part of the visit, the guests toured the infrastructure and operational capacities of the strategic facility. The current performance indicators and future development plans were presented to the members of the Cabinet of Ministers directly by the management and representatives of the port, "Wondernet Express" (urea terminal), and the international container and oil terminals.

The working meeting and the introduction to the production process were also attended by the General Director of JSC "Georgian Railway," Lasha Abashidze, highlighting the importance of coordinated work among the participants in the transport and logistics chain.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for developing regional transport corridors, activating multimodal transportation, and further strengthening the role of the Batumi maritime hub in processing cargo flows coming from Central Asia.
