Batumi Sea Port is currently undergoing a phase of large-scale modernization and continuous process optimization. Following a strategic initiative by the Director General, Mr. Ulan Tleugali, aimed at implementing industry best practices, a delegation of the company’s leading specialists conducted a working visit to the Poti Cargo Terminal. Organizational support for the visit was provided by the Managing Director for Production, Mr. E. Uteubaev.

During the visit, the technical team conducted an in-depth study of the terminal’s operations, focusing specifically on technological efficiency and process safety. Particular attention was paid to the activities of the mechanical repair shop. The parties exchanged valuable professional expertise regarding the maintenance of components and complex mechanisms for portal cranes and other specialized handling equipment.

The working group also performed a detailed inspection of the lifting gear fleet and the spare parts warehouse, observing effective methods for managing emergency stock. The innovative approaches implemented at the terminal to ensure uninterrupted equipment operation will serve as a vital resource for the ongoing upgrade of Batumi Sea Port’s production facilities.
