Batumi Sea Port LTD: environmental performance and industrial safety are at a high level
As part
of the implementation of the environmental responsibility strategy, the Batumi Sea Port
(BSP) continues
its systematic work to
reduce the environmental impact and
develop ESG principles.
According to the results of the first quarter
of 2026, the actual indicators
of the port's impact on
the ecosystem are significantly lower than the established limits.
In particular,
the volume of emissions into
the atmosphere amounted to 1.16
tons with
an acceptable level of 1.32
tons. Discharges
were recorded at level of 0.34
tons with
a limit of 6.3 tons,
which indicates
the high
effectiveness of environmental protection measures. The total volume of generated
waste amounted to 143 tons
and meets
the standards of the company's operational
activities.
The BSP consistently
implements ESG approaches,
paying special attention
to the rational use of natural
resources, reducing environmental
risks and
complying with environmental legislation.
The BSP pays
special attention to
industrial safety and
labor protection.
During the reporting period,
no cases of industrial injuries
or technological
incidents were recorded at
the port facilities.
In order
to prevent risks and
ensure safe working conditions, production
personnel are regularly
briefed, the condition
of production sites is constantly
monitored, and inspections are systematically carried out for
compliance with legal requirements
and internal
standards of the enterprise.

The Batumi Sea Port LLC
(BSP) is
one of
the oldest ports in the Black Sea,
founded in 1878.
The port's infrastructure includes 11
berths, oil and
general-purpose terminals, a BICT container terminal,
as well
as a well-developed network of rail
and road crossings. The total capacity
of the port is 21
million tons per
year. The number of ships
in the port auxiliary fleet is 12
units.
The JSC KazTransOil directly conducting the possession and managing
of production assets in
Georgia through Batumi
Oil Terminal
LLC (BOT).
The BOT has exclusive
rights to manage
a 100% of shares in Batumi
Sea Port LLC.
