Batumi Sea Port Hosts Official Visit of the Ambassador of France to Georgia

On November 25, 2025, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Georgia, Mr. Olivier Courteau, accompanied by a high-level delegation, paid an official visit to LLC Batumi Sea Port. The visit was organized as part of exploring Georgia’s maritime and transport potential.

The program was attended by the Director of Maritime Transport of Georgia, Ivane Abashidze, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation in developing the national transport system.

The delegation was received by the General Director of LLC Batumi Sea Port, Ulan Tleugali. During the visit, the French side was presented with information about the port’s current operations, its operational capabilities, infrastructure, and key development directions.

While visiting the port facilities, the guests were introduced to technological processes and ongoing modernization projects aimed at ensuring sustainable, safe, and efficient port operations. Special attention was given to the strategic role of Batumi Sea Port in the Black Sea region and its significance within international transport corridors.
