Batumi Sea Port Supported the Winners of the Media Literacy Olympiad
LLC Batumi Sea Port partnered with the winning team of the Second Media Literacy Olympiad, organized by the Communications Commission of Georgia. In 2025–2026, media literacy will be offered as an elective course in 293 schools across the country, highlighting the importance of fostering critical thinking among students.
The winning team was from Batumi Public School No. 1, and included children of port employees. The team developed a presentation using materials from the archival fund and the exhibition space provided by Batumi Sea Port. The working environment created by the port allowed participants to delve deeper into the topic and produce a strong, research-based project.
The Communications Commission will provide the winning team with a modern media laboratory equipped with advanced technology.
LLC Batumi Sea Port, a foreign asset of KazTransOil JSC, continues to support educational and media culture initiatives, including projects for Batumi school students. The port consistently contributes to the development of the local community and the creation of opportunities for young people.
