Sea Port of Batumi opens newly renovated multifunctional administrative building

The Port of Batumi has officially opens a fully renovated two-storey multifunctional administrative building with a total floor area of 400 square metres. The facility has been comprehensively modernised and redesigned to meet contemporary workplace standards.

The building is fitted with modern office equipment, ergonomic furnishings and the necessary technical infrastructure to ensure efficient and comfortable working conditions. Particular emphasis during the renovation was placed on structural reliability and full compliance with high safety standards.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior management and led by Ulan Tleugali, General Director of the Port of Batumi. In his address, he noted that providing a high-quality working environment for employees remains a strategic priority for the port and confirmed the company’s continued commitment to investing in the modernisation of its infrastructure.

The new office space houses both the port’s administrative units and representatives of several government agencies, contributing to improved operational efficiency and closer coordination between the port and public authorities.

Background nformation: Batumi Sea Port LLC (BSP) is one of the oldest ports on the Black Sea, founded in 1878. The port’s infrastructure comprises 11 berths, an oil terminal, a multipurpose terminal, the Batumi International Container Terminal (BICT), as well as an extensive rail and road access network. The port’s total annual handling capacity stands at 21 million tonnes. The port fleet consists of 12 vessels.
