Batumi Sea Port Receives Five-Year Authorization for Railway Infrastructure Safety
LLC Batumi Sea Port (BSP) has successfully completed the authorization process as a railway infrastructure manager, confirming its compliance with current safety requirements and high operational standards. The authorization was granted through a certificate issued by the Georgian Railway Transport Agency for railway infrastructure safety. The certificate confirms that BSP ensures reliable and safe management of the railway facilities on its territory, proper operation and maintenance of rail tracks, timely supply and removal of wagons, and effective coordination with carriers and partners.
The decision of the authorized Georgian body is based on the safety management system submitted by BSP, developed in strict accordance with Railway Safety Regulations and best industry practices. During the assessment, a high level of discipline, technical readiness, and operational responsibility at BSP was noted, where processes are structured to minimize risks, ensure uninterrupted logistics operations, and guarantee full compliance with regulatory requirements.
The five-year authorization is a recognition of Batumi Sea Port’s systematic work in strengthening safety culture, implementing modern risk management methods, and developing critically important infrastructure in line with international standards.
