Batumi Sea Port Hosts the Official Opening of Its New Museum
Batumi Sea Port has officially opened its new corporate exhibition space - the Batumi Sea Port Museum, offering a unique look at the port’s rich history, current operations, and commitment to sustainable development.
The opening ceremony brought together representatives from the Government of Adjara, the diplomatic community, state agencies, and the business sector.
Ulan Tleugali, General Director of LLC Batumi Sea Port, highlighted the port’s central role in the city’s identity. “The port is the historic heart of Batumi,” he noted, “and we recognize our responsibility in supporting its continued, balanced growth.”
The museum’s debut exhibition explores the deep-rooted connection between the port and the city, presenting Batumi’s evolution into a vibrant maritime and cultural hub.
The event also spotlighted the port’s environmental efforts. In 2024, Batumi Sea Port earned international recognition as a “Green Port”, becoming the only port in Georgia to fully meet this standard.
The launch of the museum underscores LLC Batumi Sea Port — a foreign asset of KazTransOil JSC — and its ongoing commitment to corporate responsibility, transparency, and the preservation of cultural and historical legacy.
As Batumi Sea Port expands its infrastructure, it continues to prioritize safety, sustainability, and close collaboration with government and community stakeholders.
