THE PRIME MINISTER AND THE MINISTER OF ECONOMY OF GEORGIA VISITED THE BATUMI SEAPORT AND ITS TERMINALS

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, together with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili and Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Zurab Pataradze, visited the Batumi Sea Port.

General Director Tleugali Ulan briefed the Head of Government in detail on the work process, existing facilities, and future infrastructure development plans.

The government delegation also visited the container terminal and the fertilizer production terminal at the Batumi Sea Port.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Batumi Sea Port in strengthening the country's transport and logistics capabilities.

"The cargo turnover of the Batumi Port is record-breaking. Based on data for the first 7 months, we can say that this year will be a record year for the Batumi Port in terms of cargo turnover. We must do everything possible to maximize the development of our port infrastructure in the future," Irakli Kobakhidze noted
