Batumi Sea Port took part in a large-scale educational and historical initiative led by the Batumi city administration.

Batumi Sea Port acted as a key partner and venue for the significant project "Institutional Memory and Prospects for the Development of Batumi Self-Government," authored and initiated by the Chairman of the Batumi Sakrebulo, Mr. Ivane Maisuradze, and the Mayor of Batumi, Mr. Giorgi Tsintsadze.

The main goal of the project is to promote the history of local self-government among successful students and active youth, enhance civic responsibility, and involve them in discussing the city's strategic development prospects.

The history of Batumi and its sea port are inextricably linked: the port has been and remains the main economic city-forming center, as well as the engine of urban and strategic development in the region.

As part of the project, the exhibition space of Batumi Sea Port served as the final location of the interactive route. The General Director of Batumi Sea Port, Mr. Ulan Tleugali, together with the city leadership and the Maritime Transport Agency, personally welcomed successful students from the Batumi State Maritime Academy and Shota Rustaveli State University, alongside representatives of youth organizations.

"It is a great honor for us to partner in such a profound and inspiring initiative. Batumi Sea Port is not just a key infrastructure facility; it is a living chronicle of Batumi’s history. We are glad that the younger generation has been given the opportunity to directly engage with the heritage and economic foundation upon which the future of our city is built," noted the administration of Batumi Sea Port.

Batumi Sea Port expresses its full readiness to continue supporting projects aimed at youth development, the preservation of historical memory, and ensuring a sustainable future for the city of Batumi.
