The visit of representatives of the US Embassy to the port of Batumi strengthens international relations

On April 11, 2024, the Port of Batumi had the honor of receiving a high-ranking American delegation from the US Embassy in Georgia. The delegation was led by Mark Nordberg, political and economic advisor, and Brook Sun, economic director. The representatives of the United States of America were warmly welcomed by the General Director of the Batumi oil terminal Farkhat Nurmukhametovich Tashibayev, together with the management of the Batumi port.

The purpose of this significant visit was to familiarize with the port's operational activities, its infrastructure and production facilities. The General Director made an extensive presentation, focusing on logistics routes for the transportation of oil and dry cargo, as well as on the production performance of the Port and Terminal, which is critically important in the context of the transport corridor connecting Asia and Europe through Georgia.

This visit not only contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations, but also emphasizes the strategic importance of Batumi as a key logistical and economic hub in the region.
